The main objective of this web site is to bring gardening people together.  This page is dedicated to the many societies and clubs here on the Big Island.  As with the rest of the site this page is a work in progress and will be added to and continually updated as information is gathered.  Want to add your club to the list?  Write to me at info@hawaii-gardener.com.  Enjoy!

Hawaii Island Palm Society
www.hawaiiislandpalmsociety.com
This club is a little different.  They don't have regular monthly meetings, per se.  They come together for garden tours and an annual BBQ,, usually the first or second Friday in February.  I highly recommend joining to receive their newsletter where in more info on meetings and tour dates is made available.  Annual dues are $10.00.  Notwithstanding their random meeting dates club membership consitst of around 200 palm enthusiasts.  The club also does public outreach at the Panaewa Zoo and their web site provides a printable map of the zoo palms to take along as a guide.
