What Is Kickstarter?
Kickstarter is a crowd funding web site designed to help get creative projects off the ground.

Ordinary, everyday people have an opportunity to sponsor and be a part of a creative project.  From art, dance, book writing, film making to design, production and creation of cutting edge, life changing products.

It allows people with an idea to raise funds in a unique way.  The artist/designer/idea-man/etc. writes about what they hope to accomplish, viewers come and see their proposal and if they are interested and want to see it happen they make a pledge.

Projects are only funded if the the goal amount has been reached.  It's all or nothing.  Over $350 million has been pledged by more than 2.5 million people since 2009

Why did I go to Kickstarter for my project?
It's simple.  Writing books takes time and a certain amount of resources needs to be in place to get a book written, printed and distributed.

Kickstarter Update - Our Project Didn't Get Funded
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to generate enough support for my project.  Does that mean it's not worth doing?  Not at all.  It simply means that I wasn't able to draw enough attention to the project re: ADVERTISING
which has been an issue for all along.

It's a bit of a chicken and egg scenario.

A set back for sure but not the end.  I will continue with my projects but they will take longer than I had hoped to get completed.
I welcome comments or ideas that any of you might have to make a future project really take off.
Mahalo Nui Loa to all who took the time and energy to participate!
